Dipawali

November 2, 2013

Let Dipawali* bring all kind of happiness

With simple and satisfactory smile on face

That all wishes are fulfilled with honor

No grievances are at heart to feel more

All over the country, the earth’s surface

The lamps may illuminate with smiling face

The flame may try to reach sky with happiness

Let light spread its power over darkness

Light may try to take control

Over hatred by love’s sincere call

Hearts may long for durable peace

Let people feel about its impact with ease

This is how festivals occupy their position!

In coming days with each season

Let our minds be not vitiated

As we are proudly linked and related

Might and light is all there

But so long experienced with no fear

Any discrimination in thought or action

May add to bitterness with reaction

As we remove all dirt from houses

The festival must light up without any misses

Let our heart boom with clear intention

From now on only “brotherhood” should rule the human relation

Humanity suffers

Kabir-pictureHumanity suffers

I went into mosque and churches
Prayed earnestly with frantic search
“Appear before or whisper some words” I pleaded
“No my son, search within” replied lord

I could follow nothing’
It gave indication of something
Why was I searching some where?
When He was around and here

This gave me eternal joy
It was pleasant to hear and enjoy
“Give no excuse or reason for someone to annoy”
Heart is temple to see through with no decoy

Kabir* was right in asserting
“Follow heart dictates and never desert”
The inner call is your real strength
God may respond if you utter in any wave length

In fact we are great villain
Greed and unhappiness is adopted to gain
Real happiness and enjoyment is in giving
You may feel eternal strength while forgiving

Are we not forgetting one aspect?
Humanity suffers from our neglect
We enjoy at the cost of others
By giving pain and causes to bother

Kabir* ancient saint known for his verses
